7th Annual Walk for INDEPENDENCE

Covell's Canines

I’m participating in a great event on April 28th, from 10am-2pm – the 7th Annual Walk for INDEPENDENCE at The Carroll Center for the Blind.

This organization is near and dear to me. I have been involved as a board member for 7 years and am the current chair of the board. I would love you to join my team, Covell’s Canines, and help me raise $5,000 for The Carroll Center.

Miracles take place there every day. Folks whose lives have been turned upside down due to a catastrophic eye injury, illness or disease learn how to get their life back. They learn braille, personal management, correct use of the white cane, advocacy, how to get around independently and how to be self-sufficient. It is a difficult process and I have seen clients change from being shy, inhibited, and scared to confident, poised individuals. I want to do whatever I can to ensure that those who are blind and visually impaired get the services they need and deserve. And I’d like you to join me.

It’s easy to register. Just click on www.support.carroll.org/walk, Join a Team, JOIN AS A NEW PARTICIPANT, search for my TEAM name (Covell’s Canines),click on it, and enter your information. You’ll make me happy and you will feel good too. Bring your dog, bring your family and come to The Carroll Center on April 28th for a fun-filled day. Don’t have a dog- no problem we would still love to see you at the event. Your contribution is welcome and appreciated. Call me if you have any questions. Thank you very much.
